Post-Pandemic Motherhood

Post-Pandemic Motherhood

The numbers are stark: young mothers are stepping back from their careers at alarming rates. Hybrid work is disappearing as a norm across industries, and caregiving responsibilities (amplified by the pandemic) continue to pull women out of the workforce.

But here's what keeps me up at night: it's not just about today's talent pipeline. When women leave middle management, we lose the mentors and sponsors who should be guiding the next generation. We lose the role models younger professionals need to see themselves in. We lose the coaches who understand the unique challenges women face as they advance.

The absence of these leaders will shape career trajectories, and limit possibilities for years to come. This isn't just a workforce issue. It's a leadership crisis with generational consequences.
I believe the stakes have never been higher, and we need to be talking about what happens when flexibility becomes a luxury rather than a standard.
