The Real Reason She's Fighting to Fix Healthcare

"I'm gonna be honest, I am really frustrated and concerned about the broken healthcare system, and I really feel that we have to—we could kind of be complacent or we could say, no, I wanna make the healthcare system better. I have three kids. I wanna make sure that they don't have to deal with these challenges. Or as I'm aging, or my mom is aging. So that also drives me. There's a personal commitment that I also think that keeps me going."

Dr. Sarita Mohanty isn't fighting for abstract policy wins. She's fighting for her three kids. For her aging mother. For every family navigating a broken system.

This is what drives real change—leaders who aren't just professionally invested but personally committed. Who see their own family's future in every policy decision.

When it's personal, complacency isn't an option.
