The Two Questions Every Cancer Patient Asks

"The number one question people ask after diagnosis is, 'Will I live?' And the number two question is, 'Can I work?'" This revelation from an oncologist stopped Gina Jacobson in her tracks. More than 80% of Americans choose to work through cancer treatment—not because they have to, but because work represents normalcy, identity, and purpose when everything else feels lost.

"It's really important for organizations to add flexibility," Gina explains. "Flexing roles or responsibilities, up or down job share."
