Alana Esty

Alana Esty is the host of the Health Analytic Insights podcast. She has her Master’s degree in biomedical engineering and currently works in the field of health informatics. When she graduated from university, she found out that just having a degree didn’t magically open the doors she wanted to enter. What followed was a long and difficult two-year journey to attempt to find a job in her field. Along the way, she picked up some impactful tips that helped her to pivot into the health informatics field. She created the Health Analytic Insights podcast to discover a community of individuals who are passionate about the field of health informatics and help them get into the field quicker with actionable and helpful tips. She has had the opportunity to speak at the STEMNoire 2022 conference, The Wonder Women in Tech Summit 2023, Black in Data Week 2023, and the Women in Tech Speaker Series 2024, inspiring others to break into the health informatics field.
